Available position for Orthotist  located in Omaha, NE.  Work as an integral part of a dynamic team of experienced professionals.  Position requires some flexibility and could be full time or part time in nature.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with Physicians to determine most appropriate device for each unique individual.
  • Measures patients in order to design and fit medical device appropriately.
  • Fabrication of custom braces for spinal patients as needed.
  • Fit, test and adjust devices on patients.
  • Instruct patients on how to use and care for their medical devices.
  • Document care in Patients’ medical records and bill for devices.
  • Repair or update medical devices as needed.
  • Manage inventory of off the shelf braces and supplies.
  • Perform deliveries of braces to patients at hospital following surgeries as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in custom design, fabrication and fitting of medical supportive devices for spinal patients with a variety of conditions a must, as well as comfortable with off the shelf devices.
  • Results Oriented self-motivator with proven track record of accomplishments.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service for both patients and physicians.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a professional team.
  • Able to communicate on multiple levels with excellent interpersonal skills to accomplish all goals.
  • Ability to supervise and train ancillary individuals as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in Custom Spinal Orthosis fabrication
